Underwriters receive a logo placement, a single mention per episode in the credits roll (not pre-roll), and an annual-report listing. They do not receive editorial pre-review, guest approval, or veto on coverage.
If we report on an underwriter, that fact is disclosed in the episode credits. We will not soften reporting on a funder.
We do not take money from: private-prison operators, parole-monitoring companies, prison commissary contractors, jail phone-call companies (this one matters — we report on them), electronic-monitoring vendors, surveillance-tech vendors, or candidate committees.
